Hello D-High Family,

My name is Shawndell Solomon and it is my sincere pleasure and honor to join this amazing team at Dover High School. It is with great confidence that I can say that my commitment to DHS is strong. Before assuming the role of Assistant Principal, I came up through the ranks of William Henry Middle School, first as a 5th grade math and science teacher, then as Math Lead Teacher and Mentor, and finally as a RtI Math Interventionist. I have served on numerous committees, such as the Instructional Leadership Team, District Discipline Committee, and served as chairperson of the Positive Behavior Support Committee. I have also served as Lead Teacher for both after-school and summer school programs, which has helped to sharpen my leadership skills.

After serving at William Henry for 10 wonderful years, I had the opportunity to join the Central Middle School team as their RtI Coordinator. It was during this endeavor that this amazing opportunity to join the DHS family can along. As I begin my work here at DHS, it is my plan to support the staff as we continue to facilitate an educational environment that will provide students with the best possible experience.

I am looking forward to building relationships with students, staff, and parents as we work together to continue to build a strong sense of community. Parents, teachers, support staff, and administration all have an important role to play in encouraging our children to become active learners, and through a close and shared partnership with everyone associated with DHS, I am confident our school will continue to be a successful place for our students to learn and grow.
