WHAT COURSES DO I HAVE TO TAKE?
You need 3 credits to graduate.
Freshman – World History is the typical class. The choices are CP or Honors. This is a full year course that covers mostly Europe from 1400 to 1990.
Freshman – Advanced Placement Human Geography. Learn where people live, how they live and how they change the environment while earning college credit. This course replaces World History. AP Candidates must take the test in May.
Sophomore – If you are following the CP track – you will take Economics and Political Science. Each of these is a semester course and is required.
Sophomore – The honors/AP track moves to AP Government OR Comparative Governments. Either course fulfills the Econ/Poli Sci requirement. These courses require you to take the AP Test offered in May for a fee. This course can award you college credit if you score a 3, 4 or 5 on the May test.
Junior – We offer either US History (CP) or AP US History. This is a yearlong course and is required. AP candidates must take the AP Test in May.
