Re:          Parking on Campus 2020-2021

Welcome Back Senators,

  • Parking permits will go on sale June of 2020 for the 2020-2021 school year.  Parking on campus of Dover High School is a privilege not a right.  We have a limited number of parking spaces; therefore, they will be sold on a first come first serve bases.  There is no guarantee that your student will receive a parking space for the school year.  Students will park in the designated area of the student parking lot at the school.  If a student parks anywhere other than their designated lot on campus, their vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense.  There are no warnings.  Students will be issued a general DHS colored parking sticker which must be displayed at all times. Stickers are not to be altered, copied or taped to vehicle; they must be placed on windshield properly. Parking permits will cost $20.00 for the school year.  If students lose their parking privilege for any reason, money will not be refunded. The Capital School District is not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle or for any damage to the vehicle while parked on school property.

Registration for parking will open on Monday, June 15, 2020 for seniors and Tuesday, June 16, 2020 for juniors between the hours of 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm.  Sales will continue until all spaces are sold.  Please bring copies of the following items along with your parent/guardian signed application: student’s valid driver’s license, registration of the vehicle that will be parked at the school along with current proof of insurance.  Please Note: we cannot sell parking permits to students that are currently on their six month driving probation period; Student may place their name on the waiting list. Student may purchase a permit if their probation is over after the first day of school. A waiting list will take place after all spaces are sold.  Students may stop at the Intervention office, A117 or call 302-241-2403 to place their names on the waiting list.

In order to qualify for a purchase of a DHS parking permit, you must not have any outstanding obligations at the time of purchase and must comply with CSD Attendance policy and Discipline guidelines at all times. Only one sticker sold per one vehicle for the year.  If you purchase a new vehicle, the old sticker must be returned and a new one may be purchased for $10.00.

Student Parking permit is designated for the vehicle that student will register and will drive to school.  If student has an emergency, and are using another vehicle for the day, he/she must notify the Intervention office, A117 the same day.
